Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN) is currently seeking volunteers to help train the next set of change makers through our Ajegunle.org project.
Volunteers are expected to help these young people understand the basics of ICT and Entrepreneurship. The project is interactive and encourages descriptive and action-based learning in an informal learning environment. The entrepreneurship training focuses on five modules: Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Networking, Finance & Staffing and Risk Management & Social Impact. We seek volunteers for each of these modules.
For each module, we expect the volunteer to:
(a) Demonstrate experiential knowledge of the subject matter
(b) Be willing to train in Ajegunle
(c) Be tolerant with new learners and have the ability to inspire a class size of about 20 – 25 students
The planned timetable for the classes that require additional volunteers follow:
Adobe Photoshop (May 10-14, 2010)
Basics of Entrepreneurship I (May 24 – 28, 2010)
Basics of Entrepreneurship II (May 31 – June 4, 2010)
All sessions hold from 1pm to 5pm daily. The training curriculum will be provided for these classes but we will also require volunteers to connect the content with their personal and other real-life experiences. All interested volunteers should please write to ugo.nwosu[at]ajegunle.org or call 08037474312 for additional details.
Thank you for working with us to provide ICT-enabled opportunities for young Nigerians!
